As seen from Just Above Sunset - commentary - 1,453 entries from June 10, 2003 through January 4, 2006 - indexed by date and topic
The subhead says it all - "Notes on how things seem to me from out here in Hollywood..." The commentary at the weekly site started there, at the daily site, as a first draft. Columns that appeared in the main pages of the weekly were final versions of these items, incorporating what has been said in the comments or emailed to me separately.
Just Above Sunset Photography - - the 309 entries through January 4, 2006
As the name indicates, this was also a site for immediate observations, but there they were visual - one or more photographs taken that day here in Hollywood, or wherever something caught my eye. Although a good number of those photos later appeared in the weekly, many did not, as they were "one-offs" that didn't fit any theme or fall in a particular category. Also this was a place for where you you would find shots that are technical exercises - in framing, color levels, special effects, and light and shadow. So this site was, perhaps, purely for photographers, where you would often find shooting data - the lens used, shutter speed, ISO and all that sort of thing.
