Thursday, July 31, 2008 – Psychic Dislocation

The pre-dawn ground fog on the last morning of July in Los Angeles just wouldn't go away.  There was no real sunrise – the morning just slowly got less dark, and then oddly translucent. It was kind of spooky, and mysteriously quiet – and you suspected most people were feeling dislocated and a tad alienated.  This was the other Southern California, and one of those days you just notice things.

There was this psychic shop on Venice Boulevard, just west of Sepulveda –

But the sun broke through, finally, and fell full on this moon and lotus blossom down the way in Santa Monica –

But in Venice there was this odd double-locked door –

King Door - Venice

Near that door, an odd mural –

Otherwise –

Sticker - Not Dead
