You know, for years the widow of Harry Houdini held a séance on the roof of the Knickerbocker, on his birthday, thinking he'd speak from the great beyond. He didn't. D. W. Griffith died of a massive heart attack in the lobby of the Knickerbocker. Elvis stayed here when he first came to Hollywood, to film Jailhouse Rock. On a rainy day it's the haunted house.
