Friday, March 27, 2009 – Just by Chance

Jimmy Kimmel sketch being taped on Hollywood Boulevard, Friday, March 27, 2009

Live in Hollywood, walk down the street, and odd things just happen. The former Masonic Temple on Hollywood Boulevard belongs to Disney-ABC Entertainment now – the Masons lost the place in the Great Depression. Now it is home to Jimmy Kimmel Live! Kimmel was out front this afternoon – some sort of stunt. It made no sense, and no one was explaining. This sort of thing happens all the time. The camera crew was amused.

It's a tradition, of sorts –

Marilyn Monroe "Out of this World" painted door - Hollywood Boulevard
Wonder Woman manikin with Angel Wings, in a shop window on Hollywood Boulevard

This sort of thing could drive you to drink, at the "Celebrity Bar" at Mel's Drive-In, which isn't even a drive-in as it has valet parking. But it is in the middle of Hollywood.

But you need to be careful what you drink –

Pop Art poster in gallery window, Hollywood Boulevard - "I pee'd in your milk!"

You get used to Hollywood.
