Saturday, October 25, 2008 – Just San Francisco

Former contributor Bob Patterson – also known as the World's Laziest Journalist – has cashed out everything for one last adventure.  He's hit the road with a change of clothes and a camera and not much else.  Right now he's house-sitting in Berkeley and hanging around San Francisco – but he leaves for Australia, for no particular reason, in a day or two.  When he can find a library or internet café, he blogs at Smirking Chimp – follow his Jack Kerouac life there.  Here's San Francisco at the moment.

According to the locals, Jack Kerouac was a customer at this local cafe.

This photo shows the sign for the Lucky Dog Pet Supply in Berkeley where fans of Phillip K. Dick will see the place where (according to local lore) he bought horse meat to feed himself and his wife.

San Francisco has a long history in the story of Rock n Roll.

Fans of architecture will find many fascinating buildings to photograph in San Francisco.  This modernistic building is across the street from the Bank of America Building.
