Monday, September 22, 2008 – The Major Symbol

An adventure to capture stock photographs for later use – a drive up Beachwood Canyon, up to Mount Lee, where the famous Hollywood Sign looms over everything out here. The road ends in a dusty parking lot, the foot of the Hollyridge Trail – and that leads up through the scrub into the hills, with the good views of the thing.  It's a hike into something like the wild – or what passes for the wild out here.
