Yep, since 1919 – F. Scott Fitzgerald, Charles Bukowski, William Faulkner, Raymond Chandler and Ernest Hemingway drank here during their screenwriting days, where Orson Welles used to hold court. Charlie Chaplin, Rudolph Valentino, and Douglas Fairbanks raced each other down Hollywood Boulevard on horseback, and the loser had to pick up the dinner tab here. The flannel cakes are pretty good.
