For the record on this date – the view from high up on Mulholland Drive, above Hollywood – ambient temperature, 97 Fahrenheit, humidity near zero, light Santa Ana winds blowing the grit in off the Mojave, and the smoke from all the fires – so dust, smoke, photochemical smog, all trapped by an inversion layer. Just another day in paradise. That's downtown Los Angeles in the distance.
