	Thursday, January 28, 2010 – Selling High We have a consumer society. People have to buy things, lots of things, or everything stops. That means you have to advertise. And that gets harder all the time. And at Wilshire Center they're hard at it. This is above site where the old Ambassador Hotel, with its Coconut Grove, once stood, where Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in the kitchen.


	Across the street, old "sky high" advertising, a hotel from 1921, now the Gaylord Apartments –

On the corner, at The Talmadge (yes, it was built for Norma), the cops have stopped traffic for the film crew, hard at work on a Hertz commercial –
