Wednesday, April 7, 2010 – Classic Moves

Supergraphic on the East Wall of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel advertising Turner Classic Movies' first annual Classic Movies Festival, photographed Wednesday, April 7, 2010

Some things are just iconic. This is Gene Kelly and the lamppost from Singing in the Rain. It's on the East Wall of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel – advertising Turner Classic Movies' first annual Classic Movies Festival, coming to Hollywood of course. They'd hardly have the festival in Ted Turner's Atlanta, or the city where Gene Kelly was born and raised, Pittsburgh. It had to be Hollywood.
