Monday, October 25, 2010 – Street Surfer

Imagine Jackson Pollock surfing. No don't – Pollock grew up in Arizona and Chico, California – no surfing in either place. When he was expelled from high school in 1928 he enrolled at Los Angeles' Manual Arts High School, but they expelled him too. He ended up in New York. So this makes no sense, a new mural of a surfer, on Spaulding at Melrose Avenue, in the manner of Jackson Pollock. Pollock died in 1956, but somewhere he's laughing his ass off.

But this is LA – and it's strange out here –
