Monday, August 9, 2010 – A Street Gallery

Artwork in small parking lot at 1260 West Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles

Art finds its own galleries. East of Echo Park on Sunset Boulevard, in a concrete notch in a hillside, hidden from the street – just the three walls of an old building long gone, with a few abandoned rusty cars in the shade – someone has appropriated the space for in impromptu art gallery. It's a nowhere space, a forgotten space. No one comes by, ever. Los Angeles can be mysterious.
